Five on Friday

Hello, Friday! Can you believe December is already here?! It is so exciting, I just adore this month! All the lights, snow, joy, giving...such a wonderful time of year! So much fun. And now onto my Five on Friday centered mostly around this Christmas season!

One. DIY Projects.
I have done a few very simple DIY projects...

This is the Anthropologie Wreath knock off that I have been promising to show! I followed this amazing tutorial here. She has very precise directions and it was so easy to follow! I was so pleased  with how it turned out...it adds some fun to our living room!

I have been wanting to use chalkboard paint for a while and when I found this tutorial, I went for it! The tutorial explains how to turn the glass in a picture frame into a chalkboard...so easy and simple and cheap! I am not the best "chalk artist" but I think it still is so fun! This blogger's tutorial really helped with the writing on a chalkboard part.

Two. White Christmas.

 via
Robert and I watched White Christmas for the first time ever. Ever. It is insane, I know! We both really loved it...such a Christmas classic! It will be watched every Christmas from now on for sure.

Three. Christmas Guide.

If you missed it the other day I shared a Christmas Gift Guide for the man in your life! It is full of some ideas that I think any man would enjoy! Go check out all the details here! We did Christmas gifts early this year, mainly because we both wanted some winter gear and also because we would be traveling over Christmas. Here is my handsome man with his gifts...

Four. Husband's Famous French Toast.

For my first birthday that Robert and I were dating, he came over bright and early before class and made me THIS for the first time. Maybe that is when I fell in love?? hehe. Totally kidding. There is something about his french toast...it is delicious. Use the big Texas toast, do the usual dip in egg/milk/little salt and pepper mixture (dip it good, close to drenched), cook in skillet and top with warm syrup! I add powder sugar and cinnamon sugar to mine and Rob adds bananas and powder sugar. This is the perfect breakfast especially for this time of year! Christmas morning breakfast? Do a buffet with all sorts of toppings set out!

Five. 90 Day Overview.
I talked about the 90 day overview of the bible Robert and I are doing back here. I am finally sharing the link, go check it out here! We have been slacking so sadly it is going to take us more than 90 days. But we are really loving the scripture that is recommended each day. It is a chance to really dig into a lot of stories we have heard so many times. It really has been eye opening and we highly recommend it!

I am so glad you stopped by and  I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed weekend! Robert has a home game and then we will be celebrating our 6 month anniversary on Sunday (a little early but it is the day we have time)! We are thinking a nice dinner and then to see Frozen:)

And lastly if you want to follow our daily happenings here in Germany, follow on me on instagram at bailleylew or here is the link! Happy Weekend friends!

Be sure to go check out the lovely Natasha, Darci, April, and Christina-the hosts of this link up!

  1. LOVE that wreath! I looked at the tutorial and it seems easy, but did it take a long time? I wonder if you can buy some pre-made "puffs"? haha
