Weekending: Bachelorette in Austin

I just love three day weekends. They are just the best. This weekend I went with some of my best friends to Austin to celebrate our beautiful bachelorette! One of our best friends is getting married at the end of September and this weekend we got to celebrate her and had such a wonderful time. If you have never been to Austin, add it to your list! It is the neatest city and so fun.

A few of my friends and I went up the day before to enjoy the city a little more! We experienced a little night life and some awesome food. AND of course got to enjoy time together!

Then the next day it was time to celebrate the bachelorette! We spent the day on the lake, the evening at a restaurant on the lake {beautiful} and the night enjoying Austin's night life. It was such a fun day celebrating one of the best people in this world {we love you Jocie}!

 {Restaurant Oasis. Isn't it beautiful?? And such a fun atmosphere!}

 {the beautiful bachelorette!}

The next morning we woke up and shared with her a little surprise! Need a fun bachelorette idea? Here ya go! We got everyone who was invited to the party {even those who couldn't come} to send in a short video about why they love the bachelorette, fun memories, etc and two pictures as well. Then we put it together with imovie. It turned out so great and totally made her cry those happy tears...mission accomplished ;) It is pretty easy with iphones these days to get videos, just have the guests record their message on an iphone and then just email it in. So easy and so sentimental! Especially if you end the video with a message from the groom!

We stayed in Austin Sunday night as well and spent that day shopping at some of Austin's cutest stores. Seriously, never been to Texas? Add Austin to your list! This city is filled with diversity, great shopping {like the Domain, Barton Creek Mall and Congress Street} and amazing food {food trucks everywhere}...it is a must!

It was such a great weekend spent with friends and celebrating one of our dearest. Happy Bachelorette, Jocie! Now let's get you married!!

  5. Looks like a great time! I lived outside of Dallas for two years, but only made it to the Austin area once, and we just spotted off for the night in Round Rock to visit friends. I want to go back just to see that view from atop Restaurant Oasis!

    Glad y'll enjoyed your weekend!

  6. Looks like y'all had so much fun! Those views are amazing! We only live a few hours from Austin and we don't visit as much as I wish we did. I'll have to put the Oasis on the list of places to visit for sure.

  11. Girl this couldn't have come at a better time! I am in the process of finalizing dinner and nightlife for my bestie's Austin bachelorette in a couple weeks. I've NEVER been and would love some recommendations - we are staying downtown. Although the lake and that restaurant look amazing!
