Happy Friday, friends! Can you believe it is already the weekend? I swear the weeks are flying by.We are soaking up the rest of our time in Nuremberg (less than 2 months!) but are also so excited for the summer and to be reunited with family and friends! There is lots to look forward to in the coming months! This week we enjoyed getting back to a daily routine and also went on the prettiest walk in an area we have never explored. We have lived here for almost 9 months and we are still finding hidden gems- I just love it. So it was a great week here in Germany- how was yours?!
Now on to some Friday fun. This week I want to share some favorites of mine! They are things that I use all the time and wanted to share with you all because I think they are that great!
{ONE}
The Wet Brush. My mom bought this brush for me and gave it to me over her visit. And man, it is wonderful! I never brush my hair when it is wet, I only use a comb because I fear of breakage. But it takes me forever to comb out. So when I tried this brush on my wet hair, I was a little worried my hair would be breaking left and right. But not at all! It is the best detangling tool I have ever used. And the best part? I have noticed no breakage AND my hair is completely brushed out with just a few strokes. It is awesome!
{TWO}
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. So I have used this for a couple of years now and I am convinced it is the absolute best. I have tried cheaper brands, I used a cheaper brand over here for a few months because I ran out. And I could tell a total difference in my skin. This moisturizer keeps my skin so soft. My skin is never dry but also never oily when I use it. It works wonders for my skin and I am a huge fan. Needing a new moisturizer? Try this one!
{THREE}
Nestea peach tea. They have it all over here and I am sure they would in the states too. Obviously water is always better but since I gave up my diet cokes, I need a little something different every once in a while. And this is it! It is so tasty. I am not a fan of sweet tea, but like this stuff because it is not super sweet, just very refreshing.
{FOUR}
Bath salts. As I have said before I really enjoy a nice bath. It is something that is just so relaxing to me. Bubble baths are wonderful but I also really love a bath with a good bath salt. I recently got some bath salts from a company called Manufaktura- I got rose, mojito and lavender scents. My favorite scent right now is the lavender by far...it is so realxing and calming. And if you are in the states one of my favorite bath salt brands is Zum Jujucuzzi. If you are in Lubbock, I get it at Market Street!
{FIVE}
And for this last favorite, I need your help! I need a favorite self tanner. I have never used a self tanner at home but am really wanting to try one this year. I want one that is just the right color, looks natural and does not make me look orange! What have you used? Have you heard of a brand that is suppose to be great?
So, so glad you stopped by on this Friday! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend full of lots of fun!

Happy Friday, Bailley!! Thanks for sharing your love of the Wet Brush! I definitely need to look into getting one of those! ;) Enjoy every lit'l bit of the time you have left in Nuremburg! I have some catching up to do on your posts, but I've sure enjoyed reading about all of your adventures! Thanks for sharing! :) Have a fabulous upcoming weekend! xo
ReplyDeletethat moisturizer is fabulous! love it. honestly, i never self tan - i happen to like my pasty white skin haha. good luck finding something though :-)
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of a wet brush..I might need to look into that. If you get some good feedback on self tanner, make sure to post about it!!
ReplyDeleteI need to try that Wet Brush! For some reason, I hate combing my hair when it's wet.. but also don't want to use a brush that causes breakage so that sounds perfect! I've tried a few sunless tanners and my favorite are the Tan Towels. They are foolproof, provide good color and don't smell too bad! You can get them at Ulta for a really reasonable price. I plan on using them next week before we leave for Florida!
ReplyDeleteBailley!!
ReplyDeleteI'm always nervous to brush my wet hair too! I'll need to pick up the Wet brush And I LOVE Clinique's moisturizer! I use the gel variety because I tend to have oily skin--it feels so moisturizing and light.
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for commenting on my blog!
Hi Bailley! :)
ReplyDeleteThe Wet Brush just sounds really cool -- I share your fears of breakage, so I'll have to invest in one of those!
I need a good self tanner too! Will check back on your post to see what feedback you get! I love peach tea too yum!
ReplyDeleteI've been through many self-tanners over the years, and my favorite is Neutrogena Build-a-Tan -- it doesn't turn me orange, and the terrible self-tanner smell is minimal compared to other brands. :) Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteSo jealous that you are in Germany right now! My grandma is from there, and I've always wanted to visit! Some day...
ReplyDeleteAs for self tanners, I have personally never used one BUT I have heard that Tanwise is supposed to be amazing! An incredible beauty blogger I follow recommended it -- you can read more about it here: http://www.maskcara.com/2014/03/18/the-perfect-tan/. Hope you find what you're looking for!
Oh I can't wait hear about your selfvtanner finds. I'm always trying them out but have yet to find one I love! Now following along!
ReplyDeleteHi there! Stopping by from the link-up, and I love your blog! I have the wet brush and it definitely a perfect beauty buy! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeletexo A Southern Style
I've been using the wet brush for over a year now and it really is the best!! I'm a brush snob now and just can't possibly use any other brush. ;) But really, there is no other brush or comb like this.
ReplyDeleteThe weeks are flying by crazy fast!! Glad you're enjoying your time in Germany so much!
ReplyDeleteI love the wet brush, too! I randomly found one at Toys R Us of all places and It's the best!
ReplyDeleteI own the wet brush and it is awesome!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the Clinique lotion! Happy Friday!
ReplyDeleteLove this post! And great timing -- my aunt literally just emailed all of the women in our family saying she has found the MECCA of self-tanners ... she is swearing by Banana Boat Summer Color Deep Dark Color. I haven't tried it yet, but she said it was the perfect color, no streaks, the least offensive smell-wise, and less than $6! I'm picking up a bottle soon!
ReplyDeleteless than $6...that's right up my alley! thanks for sharing that with us! i've used jergens and neutrogena over the years and they worked fairly well. the smell bothered me a little and i had to be careful to evenly distribute it, but never had any major streaking or problems. i'm headed to the store for some banana boat!
DeleteI second the Banana Boat. It is wonderful! And cheap!!!! A few tips:exfoliate well in the shower with a good scrub. I also sometimes put a light coat of lotion (I like Johnson's BAby in lavender-smells good and "soaks" in well) first to help avoid streaks. It especially helps to lotion knees and ankles/elbows so they don't absorb too much. Love the Clinique too and really want that great brush!!
ReplyDeleteThe wet brush is fabulous!!! I don't know what I would do without it (sounds dramatic, I know... but it's the truth lol).
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday, girlfriend! xo
Stopping by from the link up and so glad I did! First, your blog is adorable and your story is amazing, you def have a new follower in me! Second, just put the banana boat self tanner on my shopping list. And third, I can't wait to read more about your adventure! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeletemmmm, i seriously need to get myself some bath salts! ;) xoxo.
ReplyDeleteI need that wet brush. What a great idea! Hope you had a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite self tanner is St. Tropez. I got mine at Sephora!
ReplyDeleteThe wet brush is something I'll have to check out. (=
You have to try tan towels! they are the best. So much easier than a lotion :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about that moisturizer, I have really oily skin though so I'm afraid to try it. What's your skin type? I need to try that wet brush too, I always use a comb as well.
ReplyDeleteHi! I would like to open beauty salon. Does anybody have an experience in this business? There are too many options in different salon equipment. Could anybody give me an advise? What store is more reliable to buy 5 diopter magnifying lamp and 16 diopter magnifying lamp. I'm choosing between Advance-Esthetic and Spa&Equipment websites.
