Our next day in Paris was packed full! We did lots and lots of walking but it sure was a fun day! (Above is a picture of Notre Dame in the daylight...stunning.) Our first stop for the day was Chateau de Versailles...Palace of Versailles.
The Palace of Versailles is a royal palace right outside of Paris. And it is beautiful. The grounds are enormous and full of intricate, amazing gardens. It is also famously known for being the home of Marie Antoinette. It was so neat see such a historical place and a place of such beauty.
Next up...we walked all around and took in some wonderful sites.

^^^These babies...let's talk about macaroons. You see I am a huge fan of sweets, love em. But these things, oh my word. I swear there is nothing in the entire world as sweet as these things. So we got some from the famous Lauduree because you have to when in Paris! I tried a bite of each...BAD idea. About 10 minutes later I could tell my stomach was pretty upset. But we kept on walking around for a bit, visited the Eiffel Tower at night and then made our way back to the hotel. I crashed and then about 2 hours later I woke up and....puked my guts out. Lovely, I know. So that night was full of trips to the bathroom every hour...such a great way to spend our last night in Paris:) Finally around 6 am I fell asleep and woke up again around 9 feeling quite a bit better...wahoo! (And we were able to do most of what we wanted to do the next day...which I will share in my last Paris post.) So there you have it. My macaroon story in all it's glory...you are welcome. hehe^^^
^^^The Eiffel Tower at night...takes your breath away.^^^

Hope you all are having a wonderful week!
